The goal of this discovery trip is to help African descendants reconnect with their roots and with the new land inherited by History. This is a deep spiritual experience, not just a regular vacation.

• The trip is non-refundable. We recommend purchasing a travel insurance package that would refund your trip if needed.

• You are responsible for securing your ticket to and from Bissau, Guinea-Bissau and reserving your hotel: https://www.azalai.com/en/dunia-hotel-bissau. After purchasing your tour, you will receive a link to reserve your room at Ponta Anchaca in the Bijagos.

• You must have a valid passport to travel.

• We will be doing physical activities such as walking and hiking during this experience, therefore it is advised to be in healthy physical shape.

• As your first trip to Guinea-Bissau, you should be aware that there are many cultural differences that you’ll have to adapt to, including the food and cultural norms. We will have several orientation opportunities to familiarize you with the culture, but it’s essential that you release expectations and get ready to embrace your home country.

• We won’t serve you imported drinks (coca-cola, sprite,..). In addition to our desire to consume local drinks, we discover these do not taste the same as the ones distributed in the USA. 

• We'll contact you by mail to know about any allergies or meal restrictions. Please be aware that Guinea-Bissau is the land of organic unprocessed and fresh food.
